Mr. Brown has served as Chairman of the Board of the Company since June 2005 and has been a board member of Layne since June 2003. He brings with him over 22 years of energy related experience. David is president of the Windsor Group, a consulting firm that focuses on energy related issues.
Andrew B. Schmitt
President, Chief Executive Officer and Director
Andrew B. Schmitt has served as President and Chief Executive Officer since October 1993. For approximately two years prior to joining the Company, Mr. Schmitt managed two privately-owned hydrostatic pump and motor manufacturing companies and an oil and gas service company. He served as President of the Tri-State Oil Tools Division of Baker Hughes Incorporated from February 1988 to October 1991.
J. Samuel Butler
Director
Sam Joined the Layne Board in October 2003 and has experience in the oil and gas industry. Sam is president of Trinity Petroleum Management, LLC, and ST Oil Company.
Robert R. Gilmore
Director
Robby was appointed to Layne's Board effective January 1, 2009. Robby currently serves as a member of the board of directors and audit committee chairman of Eldorado Gold Corporation, Frontera Copper Corporation and Global Med Technologies.
Anthony B Helfet
Director
Tony became a member of the Layne Board in November 2003 and has experience in the investment banking industry having previously served as a special advisor to UBS and managing director of the west coast operations of Dillion, Read & Co. Inc.
Nelson Obus
Director
Nelson became a board member in April 2004 and has a background in equity fund management. Nelson is president of Wynnefield Capital, Inc. and the managing member of Wynnefield Capital Management.
Jeffrey J. Reynolds
Executive Vice President and Director
Jeff Reynolds became a director of Layne on September 28, 2005, in connection with the merger of Reynolds, Inc. with and into Layne. For the past five years, Mr. Reynolds has served as the President of Reynolds, Inc., a company which provides products and services to the water and wastewater industries.
Rene Robichaud
Director
Rene was appointed to Layne's Board effective January 1, 2009. Rene served as President and CEO of NS Group, Inc., a publicly-traded manufacturer of oil country tubular goods and line pipe serving the oil and gas industry, until 2006. Prior to that, he was managing director and co-head of global metals and mining for Salomon Smith Barney.
